We are off today in observation of Nevada Day. Love getting a 3-day weekend. We had a wonderful visit to my parents last weekend. The dogwood trees were at their peak for color enjoy the pictures. We are gearing up for Halloween this will be Annalise's fist real Halloween as last year didn't count. She was in the hospital on no food and water. This year she gets to really learn what Halloween is all about CANDY! Should be a wild weekend. Any suggestions on how to take candy away from a kid? I'm going to need all the help I can get.

What a beautiful fall day! As for taking candy from a kid--good luck with that. However, if she's anything like Alayna, she might go for this: Let her pick out her favorites (or what she thinks are her favorites) and set them aside, then ask her if she'd like to do a reverse trick or treat at the hospital and pass out the rest of the candy to kids who weren't able to go trick or treating. (you may be more familiar with this and find out which wards the kids can have candy beforehand). Anni could even dress up, that might bring cheer to some kids.
