Today is the last day of summer vacation “Bitter Sweet” I go back to school tomorrow. Fist and foremost this summer I needed to enjoy the fact that I have my health and my life back. As well as celebrate the whole new direction my life is going in.
I took on projects this summer that I was not able to do for years because of my back. The yard was my first project as I weeded 4 flowerbeds that had not been properly weeded in over 3 years. So I went to town on the garden and my back felt great. At the same time I started riding my mountain bike again. I road 3-4 rides a week in the 2-3 hour range. The cool thing is I can push much harder then I could last year at this time. The back and the legs are doing great its my neck that is taking a beating. One good thing about going back to work, my bike can get some work done on it the front shock is blown out no wonder my neck hurts.
Elizabeth and I have been apart for maybe 3 weeks this entire summer vacation. The art of shopping takes on a new dimension when you have to replace everything (Catalina Fire). My new hobie, personnel-shopping consultant. Lets just say there are a few more things hanging in Elizabeth's closest these days.
